tl;dr These controllers are better than the original for less money. The first thing I noticed was the battery life. Much better than my original controller. All controls work great, lights work, speakers work. The only weird thing is that when you use the controller to turn on the PS4, the PS4 turns on and the controller turns off. So you have to press the PS button a second time. No big deal, just weird. As shipped, one of the controllers did not hold a charge, worked for 15-20 minutes and died. A hard reset fixed it, I did a charge/discharge cycle 3 times and it works fine. Which reminds me of another oddity. You don't get many notifications when the battery is low. It's always at 3 bars until you get a low battery warning. If you get this warning, you have about 5 minutes to switch controllers. Again, no big deal. Remember you now have 2. Just leave one charged while you use the other. Overall better than the original, half the price, 2 very small nits that don't affect anything. Edit: Is it just me or does my video look crappy? If it's just me, fine. Otherwise, what did I do wrong? Second, much of that review with the controllers turned out to be wrong. Remember these are 2 very small nits. Do you have to press a button the first time you charge the controller to get a full charge? Not getting accurate battery readings? These are very minor downsides for a great pair of controllers.
