I recently bought the 30l bag and went camping with it for 9 days across some of the west coast national parks of the USA. This bag fits perfectly for a carry on luggage with American Airlines and Alaska Airlines. It was also thrown into the back of a trailer every day with 12 other peoples bags and equipment (tents/tables etc) and I never felt that it wasn't up to the task. It was pulled daily, used daily and I never once felt like it was flimsy. It was the perfect size for bringing a week's worth of clothing plus other camping essentials (first aid kit, soaps/creams etc).The back straps were also great for carrying the bag to/from and through the airport. I just then carried my smaller backpack by the handle at the top but having the main weight of my luggage on my back made a real difference. I also love how when the bag is on your back, the main compartment is not accessible.I bought this bag specifically for this trip and now that I am back home I will be using it regularly for everyday needs.
