My son had a stocked down jacket for the winter in Northern Illinois. Although it was warm enough, it ripped when it fell in the schoolyard. This part of the sleeve has lost all insulation. He told me that since he got this jacket he has fallen several times in the playground, even harder than that fall and I don't even see a stain on this jacket, it's so much more durable. This jacket is very important if he needs the next size up.
