I take a lot of photos of beads from subscription boxes. I have found that there is nothing quite like this type of background mat. You can choose the color of the rug that best displays your beads, and the fluffy fabric (it's slightly spongy and almost velor) prevents the beads from rolling. But these things don't last forever. If you fold them (even accidentally), creases will appear from time to time. And they are cat fur magnets. Anyway, I bought them when my old ones were starting to look shabby. (I'm not sure what brand the old ones were.) They're big. I don't really use them for projects because I don't have my own workspace without cats, so I always have to clean everything up after every session. But they are big enough to serve as a background for a photo of almost every bead I've tried before. They're easy to remove later, which of course can also come in handy for projects - sometimes it's hard to get beads out of tubes or bags, but Superduos beads in sizes 8, 10, 11, etc. - all of this is easy from the to remove the mat. The rugs are flexible so they can be lifted, folded, etc. I haven't tried washing mine; that didn't even occur to me. With the exception of cat hair, mine don't usually get dirty. Please note that this is an assortment and you may not receive colors on the official product image. Actually I have one blue and two cream (not grey) ones. That suits me, because cream-colored ones are better suited for my purposes. However, please note that colors may vary. Some of the corners were bent and I don't really want to iron them because it's polyester. That's the main reason I'm deducting a star. If you only use them for projects and don't take photos with them, the rounded corners probably won't bother you much. Overall I am happy with them and would buy the same again.
