Purchased to upgrade RV from 30 to 50 amps. Tired of burning and melting candles. WFCO unit replaced. The 50 amp WFCO block was larger than this one, so I chose the one that was closest to my 30 amp block. The WFCO department appeared to be more advanced and a little better designed. The progressive block had plastic lugs to keep it grounded and neutral tires that the WFCO bolted onto. Also, the upper right corner of the progressive block was torn I believe somewhere during the shipping and handling process. Otherwise, the blocks are generally almost the same, but differ slightly in layout. The Progressive's fan is quiet, both fans are the same as in a desktop case. What worries me the most is the hum coming out of the device. It's like a fridge running in the background. It's not noticeable with the A/C on and other RV noise during the day, but you can hear it at night when it's quiet. You can also hear a pulsing sound when the charger is running. I'm not sure if this noise is typical or if I just have a weird unit, but I don't recall hearing anything from the WFCO unit other than when the fan was running. In addition, the less the light is on, the louder the device is. Let's see how camping goes this year.
