This is one of the most unexpected purchases for our family in the last year. We usually get a live 8-9 foot tree, but all the lots in our town seemed to be sold out as we stayed the weekend after Thanksgiving. So we decided to buy a cheap fake Christmas tree just to take with us this Christmas. For the price we paid my expectations for this 8 foot Christmas tree were very low. If he stood up, didn't fall and didn't cause any injuries, we'd be happy. However, this tree is actually pretty awesome. It consists of 4 parts. We slowly gathered it while watching a movie, carefully fluffing and stacking the branches layer by layer. The end result was a fairly full tree that actually reached the promised 8 foot height. It fits perfectly between our fireplace, wall and sofa. It's very light, but once we hung the lanterns, ribbon, and decoration and positioned it in the corner, it never wobbled or tilted, even when our cats got curious and tried to climb on it. If our kids were a little younger we would like to somehow mount it on the wall to keep it safe. My mother-in-law, who is a bit snobbish about artificial trees, loved this tree. She couldn't believe how cheap it was when she said it rivaled their $400-$500 trees in looks and size. Since she always has the most beautiful artificial Christmas trees, that's a huge compliment. We liked it so much that we are saving them for future Christmases instead of giving them away as originally planned. We look forward to using this tree for years to come and showing how cheap it is. ;) It turned out to be even easier to disassemble than assemble.
