I have read reviews on this product and the same product from other brands that say they break during use. Having used this product and knowing how to use it, I don't see how this product will break if used correctly. I blame the brand for not providing more detailed instructions on how to use it. Even with the most stubborn ball joints, little force is required to cause separation. It's also worth noting that this item doesn't require impact, and while I don't know the manufacturer's recommendations, I'd say you shouldn't use impact, just manual rotation. First, if your application calls for a 7/8" fork hole, make sure you're using it properly. Be sure to lubricate the ball joint with something like PB Blaster and use a hard ball-faced hammer on the control arm (if not aluminum) and pry with this tool. as (or when) needed. This tool should last almost a lifetime without any problems. It comes in a beautiful case, blow molded but it is only one piece so no case is really needed to hold the pieces together. This is the tool comes with a limited lifetime warranty and the company is easy to deal with, family owned and dedicated to customer service. This is based on my personal experience and not what I have heard or read.
