After three hours of painstaking assembly, I was very disappointed with the quality and size of the scratching post. Firstly, it is extremely difficult to find out a small difference in the size of the poles to make sure they are placed correctly. I had to disassemble it several times because the rod was either too short or too long. This wouldn't have been such a big problem if the holes and screws were better aligned, but unfortunately I felt like I was assembling dodgy cat furniture or a poorly connected jigsaw puzzle. Sometimes finding the holes was impossible, and getting the screws to match them perfectly was a nightmare. My wrists were killing me towards the end. A few details go well together. Second, the bars themselves are plastic and tiny. We are talking about a maximum of four inches. And they wrap each section with a very thin rope fastened with open clamps. My cats will have destroyed this thing within a year. No real wood cheaply accepts three pieces of cheap fiberboard with cheap flimsy carpeting here. The round metal rods for the extra-long beds are also partially exposed and, frankly, just gross. Third, when it's finished and finished, the stand isn't as big as it needs to be for this expensive scratching post. My fat cat will never be able to use it and my teenager has trouble maneuvering around with it. Today he fell off the back of the car and hit the window. I felt very sorry for the little man. The tree is so narrow and compact that there is no way around the tree. Each section is flattened and small. Definitely not suitable for cats and not harmless! This company has a commitment to cats to design and manufacture cat-safe products. Building a scratching post with such a bad temper is irresponsible. I will never buy a Revain cat tree again. I'm sticking with the big furniture experts in town - Purrniture. It may cost more, but you get what you pay for or less than what you pay for. Hard pass here!
