I ordered it because it was cheap and I figured if we did a few cuts on it before it died it would do well given the cost on its own pay for a haircut. We've had it for a few months now and don't use it every day, but so far it's holding up and doing a good job with its insanely thick hair. It's also a lot quieter than expected, so overall I'm happy with this purchase. I don't know how long it will last but when I bought it it was less than $30 and we have already received over $30. My hair is cut so I'm very happy
