I love this bread slicer. It has become one of my new favorite kitchen appliances. This is a plastic that is much better than wood which will splinter and be difficult to clean. I like that it allows me to change the thickness of the slice. I like thinners on sandwich bread, 2nd slot for sourdough and 3rd slot for cinnamon bread (for french toast). I've been using it several times a week since I bought it and I can only recommend it. It is very easy to clean and takes up little space when folded and stored.
