One of the little pins that attach the presser foot to the machine broke off my old presser foot so this was a replacement. I love the 1/4 inch quilting foot so I wanted a different one. This one is just as good as the original. Space for the running foot on my machine is very important and using the foot edge as a 1/4" guide is perfect. A word of caution: it only has a tiny needle hole to allow for straight stitching. Watch what you do. I made the mistake of switching to a zig zag stitch without changing the presser foot - not a good idea!
