Stable and powerful with good design

Have tested several docks and so far this is the best. Now I get no latency/stuttering/stuttering when working with graphical content on external monitors. Other products have suffered as a result. This particular device has two 10Gb/s USB 3.0 ports, USB-C, Displayport, 3 USB 3.0 ports (in addition to the other two), Thunderbolt, analog microphone + speakers and a 1GB Ethernet port. To be honest it has everything except the card reader. It is made of aluminum, which also serves as a heat sink. The dock could get a little warm, but that's okay. Aluminum does a great job of keeping the temperature within normal limits without the need for a fan. I ran some tests on the SSD and they were as high as the internal speed with SATA. However, I wasn't able to test the external Thunderbolt bandwidth, but everything I tested worked fine. Overall, this is a solid and heavy product that holds up well when multiple cables are attached to it. Performance was solid and I never experienced any bugs or strange device behavior.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
