I love this hoop but I had to buy 2 to make it big enough. The usual rule of thumb for hula hoops is that the hoop should rise somewhere between your belly button and your chest when it hits the ground. If it is less, it will be difficult or impossible to stop it from falling. I'm 5ft 7 gallons and of average build and this tire is barely above my crotch when fully assembled. My mom bought it for me and ended up having to buy a second one to get the right diameter for my size. If you are over 5ft 1 or 5ft 2 you may need to purchase a second tire like I did. did. I definitely recommend this tire! It's not bumpy and uncomfortable like other weighted tires I've seen, and the padding makes a big difference. I had pain after using it for a few days but it went away and I didn't bruise. I just wish there were some extra links!
