Recently, I've become a bit familiar with leather straps. I don't claim to be a pro at anything. However, this sling is made from what appears to be the highest quality materials. Looks and describes how the merchant site advertises. (Hasn't happened to me lately). Haven't done much with it yet as it needs a bit of prep as it's new. I would recommend this product to anyone using a quality straight razor. It's a bit expensive for me. Because of the quality and the price, I wouldn't put a knife on it. An old saying; "You get what you pay for". Well, nowadays that might be true in regards to this particular product. It may be worth the price later if you use it for a while. As one reviewer said; He has had this sling for 9 years now. I believe in quality.
