Review on Merrell J000796 District Muri Lattice Women's Athletic Shoes by Kitty Jenkins

Another Merrell sent back - how's the quality lately? Merrell has been my favorite brand for years, but not anymore. As mentioned in another review, the straps are loose and only one can be adjusted. No grip, but that's what I wanted - I love the barefoot feeling. The style was cute. But here's the problem: when I tried them on and switched from carpet to a smooth surface (clean and dry), I almost slipped and fell. Hm? Unless I had a fake, I've never seen a Merrell sole finish like this: grooved but hard and smooth. I imagined we were walking our typically rainy sidewalks and the sandals went back into their box and I returned them. Luckily for me I have found other excellent brands and the new "quality" from Merrell will no longer frustrate me.
