My scalp and hair have been going through a really rough time lately. Between the side effects of celiac disease (possibly hypothyroidism now) and a really severe allergic reaction to my hair dye, my scalp was constantly burning and itchy, combined with flaky skin and insane hair loss. I was beginning to lose hope and felt I needed to find a natural shampoo and conditioner that could help me put things right. I thought it would be impossible to find. It wasn't like that. I've used this shampoo and conditioner combo for 4 washes (over 3.5 weeks - I don't wash my hair with every shower) and I feel such relief from the transformation. I'm losing less hair with every shower, my scalp hasn't been itchy from burns since my second shower, and the flaking/flaking/dandruff is also significantly decreasing with every shower. I become a regular customer. What I noticed about some of the reviews - and the growth stimulating shampoo I plan to buy next - is the lack of lather issue. I want to address that. I used this shampoo the first time I showered, I was a bit annoyed by the lack of foam, especially since the literature that comes with it and the real soap berry talk about the natural foam that is produced. Then, with the next dose of shampoo in my hand, I decided to rub my hands just to see what would happen. As if by magic - the foam is created. Then I realized that when I put this foam on my hair, it foamed even more. I still use more pumps (6 to be exact) than "regular" shampoo to thoroughly rinse my hair, but "regular" shampoo contains chemicals specifically designed to lather. So. You are deceiving. It's natural, it wins. I leave the shampoo on for 30 seconds to a minute and then rinse thoroughly. Another thing is that I've now started using warm/cold water for showers compared to the almost boiling temperatures that for some reason we're all convinced we have to use to be clean. The air conditioning is so relaxing. When I first used it I was a bit worried because it didn't seem to produce the same icing effect as 'regular' air conditioners. I reminded myself that this thing was real and of course it would behave differently, just like shampoo. But after leaving it for about 2 minutes while attending to other cleaning needs, it almost seemed to 'develop' as it washed off and was very smooth, soft and creamy. It's easier to apply and rinse off with each shower, leaving hair fuller, hydrated and softer. I love this shampoo and conditioner. this is a chance.
