Planning a trip to a water park in Texas and didn't want to spend money on a waterproof camera and didn't have time to explore. I bought this more as an experiment. It worked fantastically. The included "spacers" fit my camera perfectly and I expect most similar sized cameras [especially the Canon Powershot] will also fit. Neither my wife nor I had any trouble turning the camera on/off with my fingernail through the case. I was also able to practice and learn how to switch from image to video mode through the back of the case by moving the camera, hooking a fingernail on the foil and moving the camera inside the case. When I wanted to take a flash shot or shoot OUT of the water, removing the cover wasn't that difficult, especially after a few times. I have NEVER submerged it in water but I have no doubt everything will be fine. Big surprise? - The sound was much better than I expected. Obviously not as intimate as when the mic isn't in a plastic case, but PERFECT for the water park and most wet outdoor adventures. This case made me reconsider buying a waterproof or HERO camera [no special mount needed] for kayaking because it also offers excellent shock resistance. This case and my old Canon Powershot will definitely be with me on my next trip to the river.
