I got this replacement case for my grandma's new car because the characters had faded. It's a good bowl, don't wanna lie. The fact is that the transponder is glued to the plastic where the mechanical key is located and it is not possible to remove it. The bottom is what I need but they are not interchangeable. I had to use the original key and buy a silver marker to identify the keys to them. I don't blame this product, I blame VW. Since they are not interchangeable and it says OEM, I give 4 stars. Inside the case was a small logo covering the screw. I suggest using your current fob or buying a new fob with circuitry and transponder in it and finding a locksmith to cut and program the new block.
