Like many others, I have a wireless router and modem in the main house garage. My office is across the driveway (about 150 feet) and my wi-fi signal had to go through 2 garage doors and was just plain unreliable. There is a repeater in my office building. Both routers and repeaters are Amped Wireless products (good stuff). I hooked up a new antenna to one of my repeater's channels and the results were amazing. This was the easy and cheap solution I was hoping to find. The 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz channels work great. I don't know if adding another one of these antennas on the router side would help, but I might just try. one to the wireless router. My link is secure with a download speed of 60Mbps and an upload speed of 6Mbps. The remote antenna is connected with a meter of cable, on the router side I used a 25 foot cable. I was concerned that a longer cable would affect performance, but it didn't.
