Review on πŸ“’ Notebook Resin Casting Molds Set of 3 - A5 A6 A7 Sizes, Silicone Mold with Resin Epoxy for DIY Crafts, Semi-Transparent Mould by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mine has defects in molds causing defects.

Some cardboard is needed for packaging to keep the shapes flat! I did notice flaws in my mold, but being new to resin work, I didn't realize my finished piece would have flaws. I don't know if the molds were touched before they dried or dried too quickly, but I have cracks and uneven surfaces. The shapes are very small and the imperfections are pretty obvious when looking at them, but they are difficult to photograph. I only used one mold because I didn't want to waste more resin on the other two after seeing the imperfections in my finished product. Revan sends a replacement. crossed fingers I will update after receiving and trying them. I thought of covering up the imperfections with opaque resin, but the molds are so small I'll have to try it out of the mold. Thanks for that. I gave them a 4 for ease of use because they are so small that they are not that easy to use. You cannot craft resin layers. I was planning to use the shark decals on my grandson but it is so flat that it is difficult to apply a primer and then apply the decals and top coat. I could not do it. On the packaging the molds didn't lay flat so I couldn't lay my resin flat as it didn't level even when I leveled the resin myself. The bottom will overflow and the top will have no resin. They seriously shipped it with the larger shapes folded on themselves and none of the shapes lay flat. I thought about weighing them down before trying, but I was afraid it would deform them more. I have a similar problem with pen shapes. They were distorted and I foolishly believed that adding resin would restore the correct shape. Not correct! Rschunimagu. Deformed/defective molds mean deformed/defective products.
