I've tried electric heaters in the garage but almost everything they do adds to the bill. Also, they use a lot of amps, which reduces what I can actually use in the garage. So I thought I'd try. I already had a propane tank. Incredibly easy to set up and turn on. The fan requires electricity, but that's a lot less than the heating element in an electric heater. My garage has an open rafter ceiling with overhead vents, but I still don't let them run that long. I also have a carbon monoxide detector to make sure everyone is safe. I'm only interested in taking out the cold, not getting comfortable with short sleeves. It's also noisy, like a jet engine. Has good hose length to keep it away from propane. It works well enough for what I need. The trip wire is always on and on fire. Let's see how long this lasts. I noticed that it's not available as I write this. Hope that's not a bad sign.
