I have big hands for a woman. I can often raise my hands to a man, and my palm is smaller, but my fingers are longer. I knew it would be a challenge. To me, this is no stranger than the transition from ninth size needles to second size needles. This is a small adjustment, but after knitting for a while I forget that they are somehow different from all other circular knitting patterns. If I had to knit a piece of fabric the size of a quilt, I'd be fed up with my hands. Quite useful for sleeves or socks. I know how difficult change can be for people, but if you approach it with the right attitude, it can be just as wonderful for you as it was for me. Makes many projects portable for me that didn't exist before. And because I often find myself in situations where I'm not paying enough attention to knitting, I don't double knit my stuff or make any of the other stupid, frustrating mistakes I've made with knitting needles in the past. I know they won't be for every body. But I want to dispel the myth that you have to have small hands to use them, patience is all it takes to get used to them.
