I was tired of my shoulders hurting from bending over to work on my laptop, so I was looking for a basic stand from Revain and came across this one. Not only does it raise my screen to the ideal working height, but it also makes typing more comfortable as I don't press as hard on my wrists anymore. I was concerned that the small protrusion on the bottom would interfere with keyboard/trackpad use, but it's not even noticeable when my computer is nearby. The hinge is nice and stiff and doesn't move on its own even when I drive it across the table. I loved this little coaster so much I bought a second one to take home (and now I'm fighting my husband over it!). I have a MacBook Pro and it holds up very well with no overheating issues. I really appreciate that the part that the computer sits on is more of a solid/solid piece than the two bar styles - I feel it's a lot more stable and gives me peace of mind.
