Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Nintendo 3DS XL Blue/Black [Old Model] - Bundle with Included Games by Jay Williams

Portable Gaming BEST!

I was very impressed with my 3DS XL. I bought it out of disappointment with the quality of the games I got from the iTunes App Store and it didn't disappoint. XL has its disadvantages. It has a lower resolution screen than you're used to and a small library of games. However, it more than makes up for these shortcomings. What the game library lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality. (LOZ: ALBW, FE: Awakening, and Bravely Default are among the best on this platform.) There's a decent selection of digital games and classic ports, too. Thanks to the XL size, it looks beautiful and durable. It also has nice "clicky" buttons instead of the DS Lite's softer buttons, and you DEFINITELY won't have a hard time seeing things on its huge screens. The 3D effect works and looks very impressive. (assuming you have TWO eyes). You may see a "halo effect" if you look at the screen from the wrong angle, but this problem is fairly easy to fix. If you're planning on playing older DS games, you might be a little worried about picture quality as your games will be blasted onto a screen almost three times larger. Rest assured that the vast majority of your games will look great. I've tried everything: the SNES port (Chrono Trigger), NES ports (bundled with Contra 4), GBA ports (Megaman Zero Collection) and many regular DS games, both 2D and 3D. Almost every DS game I tried looked perfect. Big. 2D games look particularly good and suffer from LITTLE motion blur (which shouldn't be a problem unless you're super obsessed). DS games with polygonal graphics look a little rougher. but they are still very tolerable. If you're a gamer who's burned out playing smartphone games, tired of Flappy Bird clones and free social crap, wants to play games for you with real depth and quality, and want them to actually be pushable. You can't go wrong with the 3DS XL.
