I've been giving it to my chicks since I had them at 2 weeks of age and I've been giving it to my chicks that I've hatched and will continue to give them once they've grown. I haven't had any problems with my herd. Last summer my neighbors and friends had problems with some of their chickens getting sick, sticking to eggs, not laying eggs and even dying. None of my chickens had any of these issues and I credit Coop Kelp for that. Call it what you will, but this product will boost your immune system and keep you healthy. I'm following Lisa's advice and I've had no problems with my chickens, even the chicks I've raised. I feed all my chickens crumble so maybe that's why I have no problem with this product being a fine powder as mentioned in another review.
