Review on 🌥️ Sobakawa Cloud Pillow - 12.6 inches x 18.5 inches x 3.15 inches by Kaylon Mackey

While living in Japan I discovered something called MOGU pillow. Different sizes/shapes made of elastic fabric with microbeads, usually in bright and fun colors. I LOVE the roll pillow I received and when I finally lost it (left it in a hotel room) I went in search of something to replace it. or support a sore arm in a dream. I even took a short ship TAJ (in the Navy), where I had a classic coffin stand. A pillow (and my own blanket) made it perfectly reasonable - although nothing could counteract the smell of gasoline, but I digress. However, as soon as I lost my pillow, I set out to buy another one. Unfortunately, Revain.jp has stopped selling them except for the white color (oh how I wish I could get another one when it becomes available). I had a friend order this for me (no US shipping). But this pillow didn't have a cover glass, and it's only a matter of time before it becomes too unsightly. She also sent me a few other items, like a seat cushion, but it's not the same when I try to lie down. The next pillow I saw is the FOM pillow, which is good but not that good (too stuffed, see my comment below). Then I saw an ad for Sobakawa Cloud Pillow. I took a chance ordering it (BB&B no longer had them in local stores) and crossed my fingers. Upon arrival I'm pretty sure what they're getting from the MOGU folks. The fabric is the same stretchy/soft material and the beads feel/sound the same. I found the shape of the pillow very malleable to fold and straighten to find a comfortable position. Note that this is "crowded" but that's what makes it (IMO) useful. You can place it however you like and it will snap into place. If it was filled any more, it would be too hard. The FOM pillow is "fuller" but I have a harder time getting into the most comfortable shape. I like them too, but if I could open them up and pour some pearls in, that would be better. The noise of the beads is noticeable at first, but quickly recedes into the background and doesn't bother me. If you are very sensitive to noise, this can be a problem. I don't like that the pillow is white, but at least it has a cover. The cover is washable. I saw one reviewer dislike that the pillow itself is not washable. Personally, I wash pillowcases often, but I never throw a pillow in the car, so I don't see anything wrong. I'm glad the cover is made of the same material. I just don't like white. I suppose I could tuck the entire pillow/cover into another pillowcase, but to be honest the fabric is part of what makes this pillowcase comfortable. Now, no pillow will work for everyone, but I found the fabric to be stretchy/soft and not filled enough. Microbeads provide great comfort both around the neck and for shoulder/arm support while sleeping. Cheaper models have an unpleasant (and smelly) fabric, and the FOM, while almost as good, is just too stuffed (and had that chemical smell that thankfully faded quickly). I love this pillow and have ordered a replacement! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new type of pillow to try. It just doesn't feel like anything else I've used before and nothing else was as comfortable. This may or may not work for you, but if others have failed, this might be the guy to help you. This is currently a very reasonable price - very satisfactory value for money. Highly recommended! JTG
