I had a table on my lap and found my computer was getting hot so I had to look for stands. I love that this is adjustable so you can use it almost anywhere. It's thin and the table/stand itself is solid, but the piece of plastic that you screw into the left or right side for the mouse has a weak connection point with the base of the stand and can break with some force. Make it so you can't put your hand on the mouse or put enough pressure on it to bend the platform.
