Minix U9-H is a total disappointment. After looking at various Android boxes and buying a Skyworth with great hardware but poor performance, I settled on Minix. I believed the ads for using the old UI and Marshmallow for a superior user experience. First, their A3 remote will drain the batteries in 24 hours, about 5 days if the batteries are removed when not in use. I no longer use it and am currently using a desktop mouse. In their forum they simply state that there is no known solution to the problem: the remote keeps blinking as if in use. The device freezes and can only be switched off by unplugging the power cord. Yes, I have the latest firmware and only use one app at a time. I quickly realized that it was impossible to keep background applications running. The UI is terrible, even the alternative launcher is terrible without a mouse. I will never buy any of their products again. My search for a stable box with an intuitive user interface continues.
