We like them better than expo as my younger daughter has dysgraphia and tends to push really hard and yes the tips smooth but they are still thin enough to reach what she is writing. This is our second order because my daughter unfortunately drops them during virtual learning and fails to put the lids back on even with constant reminders. They do not last long at all if the lid is left off maybe max 1 hour of no use and it's dry. They are very dark and smooth to write with and my older daughter loves them for her virtual class and says they help write math problems better. I wish they had an eraser on the top or offered ones that where click style to reduce ours from drying out. Until she becomes more responsible we will be a frequent buyer.
