To be honest I wasn't impressed with this set, the instructions aren't as detailed as I'd like; especially for a set that "beginners" can use. I followed the instructions they gave at every step and to be honest it didn't do me any good. I ended up shaving after 6 bad streaks. So this product is a waste of my time and money. I'm also concerned because everything I've read about the correct temperature for leg wax says it should be between 76° and 93° Fahrenheit and your temperature setting doesn't start until 160°. Also, the wax smells awful, doesn't smell like lavender or anything appealing to be honest. My partner kept asking me if I burn plastic the first time I heat it up; which I made per the directions (pour the wax balls into the pan, turn the setting to high and stir occasionally for 15 minutes to evenly dissipate the heat). And while smell isn't a big buying factor for me, I wish my bathroom didn't smell like burnt plastic. The wax cooled to a "warm honey consistency," which the instructions suggested, because under no circumstances should anyone put 200+° wax on their body. During this time I used the supplied prewax spray as I was following the directions and wanted to get it "right". At the same time, the wax cooled too quickly once I applied it to my leg. So much so that it kept breaking into pieces when I tried to remove it. Waxing isn't fun anyway, but it's even worse when you have to put on little bits of cold wax because it won't come off in one strip. I hope nobody has to rip wax and hair from a dime up to a quarter size off their body because it sucks. And while I tested a small patch on my wrist for temperature control, I didn't get any skin irritation or red bumps there (I didn't use a prewax spray in situ); Every part of my foot that I could heal was red, angry and irritated for two days. Which is by no means perfect. To be honest I bought this product to reduce the amount of plastic waste created by shaving products. Unfortunately, that sent me to the store to BUY shaving products so I could have slippery, smooth feet. I don't know if I can return the product as I have already used pot wax. So now it's a waste of my time/money/and valuable bathroom storage space. Really disappointed with this product.
