I only gave this lock one star because it's impossible to comment or rate it unless you give at least one star. I would give no stars if I had the choice. The person I need to keep away from the fridge is my husband who has dementia. No installation instructions were included with the lock. So I attached it to my freezer/fridge door on the right (fridge side) with a lock. When the door opens, the corner pushes on the cable and releases the latch. So I wanted to reverse it but then it wasn't sticky enough. One is ready. Luckily I ordered two. The second I put the other way, with the attachment end on the freezer to the right. This morning my husband opened the fridge with little effort and the lock came off. The back is still glued to the door but the key entry and front are 2 pieces and the cable is unlocked. So two downsides. It was a waste of time, effort and money.
