Review on ๐Ÿ’ฆ Stay Hydrated on Your Runs with CamelBak Men's Zephyr Running Hydration Vest โ€“ Innovative Body Mapping Technology โ€“ 34 oz by Christopher Clearfield

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small, compact, airy and very light, with relatively little capacity for small hikes and short trails

The CamelBak Zephyr is, in my opinion, a small and compact vest that is more suitable for short distances and small excursions. I'd say half a day or a couple of hours if you want to go easy. It is a breathable and very comfortable vest, very airy thanks to the mesh around the vest. It's easy to forget you're even wearing it. It's very, very light and the mesh around the back and sides as mentioned makes it really airy and breathable and also keeps you cool. This is a relatively small package at just 34 ounces, which is roughly the equivalent of two bottles of water. Of course, it can be increased if you add a chamber, but the base capacity is only 34 ounces. Although it is small, it offers a lot of space and compartments for different purposes. 6 small pockets on the front for various gear and 2 large pockets on the back for larger items like a jacket or groceries/snacks. There are some nice attachments to add whistles and trekking poles if needed. The vest comes with two soft drinks. Bottles that fit into relatively deep pockets on the front and as mentioned there is room on the back for a hydration bladder that you have to buy separately. A small problem with soft bottles is that as they are deflated they fall further and further down and become harder and harder to pull out as they are deflated due to the depth of the pockets. I've tried this several times over the past few weeks and really liked it. it is every time. Again, you'll need to be smart with the power you need for the track you're aiming for. If you don't know how long it's going to be, take something bigger, but if you know it's going to be short, take it with you. The chest straps are adjustable and relatively easy to use. ensure a good fit. Learning how to put on the vest requires getting used to it, and there are no instructions here. You would have to learn this as you go. I have to say if you move fast or maybe go down a bit fast I think you will notice a little bounce. The inflation valve is fairly wide, making it easy to fill when needed, and a plastic handle helps with maneuverability. The valve has an on/off function that makes it very easy to use on the go and you don't need both hands to operate it. It fits well, is secure and fits snugly. I highly recommend it for shorter trails, runs and hikes under 10-15 miles. The mesh design allows the body to breathe and keeps moisture close to the skin.
