If you're willing to replace it in about two years, by all means buy it! My cats love it. I have it on every windowsill at home. They must be screwed into the window sill with screws. Suction cups are a waste of time, they don't hold anything. You must use screws. I assembled it myself in about two minutes by screwing it to the windowsill. The reason I say you'll need to replace this at some point is because of the removable cover. It's actually not that heavy a material and will wear out over time. They don't offer replacement cases and they should! because I had to buy the whole block again because of the cover. The floors on all my window sills are as solid as ever - the problem with the covers. Overall though, this is a great windowsill and I highly recommend getting one.
