Disappearing bubbles that have nothing to do with water

Item received today, instructions followed. Descaled before use. A filled water bottle with about 50 ppm. Twice the process began on the water. The water was still 50 ppm. I took the blue test solution according to the instructions. Dropped two drops to test. Shake the water very hard. The water stays blue. Shake it vigorously again. Rather blue. Dropped the next five drops expecting nothing but blue water. The water was still blue. The product may be defective but if it's that spirited then I think I'll give up what looks like a bubble machine that takes your money and adds no value.
