I do not recommend this product. I have used many of them in the past and they have worked flawlessly. This model, or at least the device I received, has two major problems to begin with. First, the music is sometimes muted or only plays from one channel. I believe this is because the transfer unit in the tape cartridge is not aligned with my head unit. Removing and reinserting the tape will restore the full sound, but this needs to be done a couple of times a day. This may be due to a defect in my device. The second problem appears to be a design flaw. The connector that connects to the tape recorder is a four-pin connector designed to accept sound in both directions. Since the device doesn't have a microphone, the iPhone's built-in microphone is disabled when I connect it to my iPhone. Therefore, this device cannot be used as a hands-free device in a car. Any other tape recorder like this I had worked great with for this application. Since it doesn't play music properly and I can't use it as a hands-free option for my iPhone, the device is unusable. . I recommend you to buy a product from another manufacturer.
