To be honest. Although the company was very pleasant to work with and almost willingly sent me a new whistle every time one of these burst, until I was tired of making warranty claims. Genuine tubes never lasted more than a month. Every time I waited for a replacement, my water ran unsterile and the entire system had to be shock sterilized again. It's tiring in a hurry. GENUINE BRAND PEARS serve in twelve times longer than these lamps and are therefore worth (in a sense of the word) a much higher price. There is really no good reason for any of these lamps (whether genuine or "compatible") to be priced very highly , in fact these are regular fluorescent tubes with no phosphor in the glass envelope, so they can sell for less than $10 a piece, ten wires, a little UV halogen and a touch of epoxy.
