This is my 2nd pair, first pair i bought 36 and it was pretty loose around the waist, like some other suggest size down.My 2nd pair was a 34 and it fit but was pretty snug around the waist and butt, but i do have big thighs and butt.Sizing is awkward cause i fit into 36 pant. 36 usually run either just right or very snug to me. But with these it was pretty loose. If you are a size 36 with wiggle room in most clothing go for a 34. If you're barely a 36 stick with 36.The material feels pretty cheap but at the same time very light, great for summer wear.As a short guy these pants inseam fit me just right im about 5'7 big build. Goes below my ankle but not too far.Overall i like them hard to find pants that fit me without being too long for a cheap price.I just wish they didn't add the white stripe inside, don't like how it looks if i decide to roll them up.
