Review on Fintie Sleeve Case For MacBook Air 13 A2237 (M1)/A2179/A1932 (2018-2020) by Cody Mckechnie

I've been using Mosiso faux leather cases for my MacBooks for years. While always functional, the last few were made with plastic corner straps to hold the screen, rather than the original stretch fabric straps. Not surprisingly, plastic straps last anywhere from a few months to a year at most. I was determined to get a similar case with a better screen angle lock and two of these were from Fintie and TYTX. I was hesitant about which to take and ended up taking both thinking I was giving back the worst. The TYTX was certainly useable but suffered from more bulk and a slightly sloppy fit. My Macbook Air definitely opened up more than I wanted with TYTX due to the thickness of the material used to hold all 4 corners of the laptop. Even more disappointing was the lack of any sort of center strap closure with snap or magnet closures. I didn't expect much improvement from Fintie, but I was wrong in my assumption. The fit was way better than anything I've tried with the TYTX or Mosiso cases I've used. The corner materials were strategically thinner on the Fintie, allowing the laptop to be closed without much clearance. To be clear, there is a gap under the bottom of the Macbook Air as its 4 legs sit on the inside of the case, but this is unavoidable and should not be confused with the gap between the screen and the laptop sleeve. Other positive aspects The case itself has extremely flat outer surfaces. I have a gray one that looks almost like a cool jean pattern and has an added leather element in the crease. The quality of the material is exceptional, although I can't confirm the other faux leather options look as good as the gray one. Even better, the Fintie has a center strap with a magnetic closure that really holds up well when you close it. In general, I rarely write reviews unless I find something really good or really disappointing. The Fintie Case is really very good thanks to the excellent design and will definitely become my keeper.
