I have ordered a second vacuum cleaner of this model because I really like the vacuum cleaner that I have been using for several years. I mainly use it for dry cleaning with a replaceable filter bag. This new vacuum has no brackets to hold the bag in place. I compared it to an old vacuum that has full locking rails. The spot on the new vacuum cleaner doesn't look broken. I put in a bag and used a vacuum for easy cleaning; seems to be working fine. I'll keep using it and see if the missing manuals make a difference. I really don't want to return this item to Revane; It's a big, unwieldy box. I will contact Alton Industries customer service and update this review if I learn anything new. Update: I called customer service, was put on hold and finally hung up. I looked at the vacuum and noticed that the bag seemed to be tight without the guide pins. I will update my review later if I run into any issues.
