I was delighted to get this for my son who loves to record videos. it says 44mp, and when the camera came it says 36mp. We switched it to the highest quality when using it as it defaults to 12 megapixels, but the quality still wasn't that great. It's nice and compact to fit in your pocket, which is nice. just thought it was better quality and we would get the quality claimed.
