Very happy with it! I bought 3 to bypass the queen bed and we couldn't bolt them to our frame but the rails have a piece that bolts on to connect each rail to the other which holds them up pretty well. If there was only one or even two of these, no it wouldn't be strong, but the three hold up perfectly! It's solid even when I lean on it. It comes with straps on the bottom if you don't want/can't screw it to the base, but the instructions weren't clear at all on how to do it and when we tried to figure it out. It wasn't strong enough to hold the rails in place. So we simply decided to assemble it, put the mattress on top and connect them together with the parts provided. Daughter 7 months, no problems. She can sleep and I don't have to worry about her falling out of bed.
