It really didn't take long to apply and lasted over 10 days! Love the color combo it comes with and even tried mixing glitter and white (try first so next time will be better). Definitely recommended for beginners! I will say that it takes a little practice. It's easy to use and you get a good amount of powder for what you spend! Edit: I noticed that I can split and peel my homemade dip powder (recommended to sit with foil on my fingers forever) and when I got my first set (still took me about 12 days with no cup or so) then!) My nails were not really damaged! Just as coarse as I made them for the dip. I also made a second set (took longer) and they came out fantastic! So so so glad I got this scuba set! great value
