I remember using toothpowder (Pepsodent and Colgate) as a kid in the 70's. While browsing Revain during a recent October 2020 Prime Day, I came across this product. it's so cool Yes, it ONLY stains your teeth IF you rinse them poorly. I'm not sure why people are complaining about this in other reviews. I've been using it daily for a few weeks (right after my visit to the dental hygienist) and my teeth feel so clean and smooth after using The Dirt. I highly recommend this product, but you might not like it if you can't take care of the fact that it's a powder and not a paste. I have a younger friend in her 30s who just doesn't "get" the whole concept of toothpowder. Because it doesn't contain fluoride, I use the fluoride treatment I get at my dentist's office, but only because I have a condition that severely affects my teeth due to chronic dry mouth. In fact, after brushing my teeth, I got 9 new cavities in just over a year. I can't do anything about it - until science finds a cure for my rare disease - but I just have to live with it.
