Review on Moen 6410BN Two-Handle Centerset Bathroom Faucet by George Bell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Handle is sticking, needs service after 3 years

I like the look and when it was new it was great but one of the faucet handles is starting to get harder to turn and is now almost impossible to use . It's been less than 3 years. Apparently this is common with these faucets and many people have reported the same problem, some in less than 2 years. I prefer faucets that last longer without maintenance. I called Moen and they sent me a replacement cartridge. They also instructed me to slightly loosen the screw inside the handle and hopefully this will prevent this from happening again. So it looks like they have quality control issues. Unfortunately the new cartridge did not work. It was also difficult to unscrew, possibly because the cartridge was leaking because I found a lot of corrosion when I finally removed it. It turned out that maybe the cartridge needed to be replaced, but in fact the pen itself stuck. I had to call Moen again. Now they're sending a new pen, but it might come in a month. It's nice that it's handled under warranty, but it takes a lot of time and effort. This faucet was too expensive for all the time and effort.

Pros
