Review on 🌿 Aesop Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste - 75mL, Paraben-Free, Cruelty-Free, and Vegan by Lauren Morrison

I purchased this product in Australia and was recommended by an Aesop staff member. While the packaging and ingredients are great and I really respect the integrity of Aesop products, the product itself leaves a lot to be desired if you have sensitive/congested skin. Although the product initially softened my skin and seemed to unclog my pores slightly, over time it actually enlarged them. After a few months of use, I noticed that my pores only got bigger despite frequent (2x/week) peelings. I met with a skincare expert who said that exfoliants with asymmetrical exfoliating particles can actually expand your pores by enclosing and "stretching" them. Wow I stopped using this product and they immediately started shrinking and clogging. Some of the redness on my cheeks also disappeared, leading me to believe it was aggravating my sensitive skin.
