Inexpensive insurance against scratching the expensive LCD.
A few years ago my Panasonic Lumix got dropped resulting in a scratched LCD the very first time I took it out. Since then I always install a protective overlay as soon as I buy a camera.This is a sacrificial glass protective overlay which installs easily and works perfectly to protect the camera's viewing screen from scuffs and scratches. I haven't had to remove it yet, someday it will get worn or scratched and I'll replace it with another one. Optically, it seems to have zero effect on the appearance of the LCD. Once installed you can hardly even notice that it's there.Inexpensive insurance against scratching the expensive LCD.
