This was my first phone holder and it is very good. A clamp that attaches to a bike frame or handlebars is great. It's very light and can be clamped very tightly and securely, giving you peace of mind that it won't come loose. Side spring-loaded grips hold the phone firmly. But not sure if they will hold up on their own so this mount comes with a rubber band similar to the corner mounts that needs to be stretched to hold the corners. I use a spec case on my phone and it works but it's a bit hard to stretch. Corners around all 4 corners of my phone and case. When I let them stretch, they held, but not as much as I'd like - they slip off a little, but not completely. So I just stretched 2 corners. I am 95% sure they are safe. I checked this mount regularly while riding to make sure the corners weren't slipping anymore. I also have a feeling these rubber bands will eventually fail after being exposed to varying temperatures and humidity. I think that's why they send you parts. Although the biggest problem for me is that you can't put the phone in this holder with one hand. I like to take lots of photos and I don't want it to be difficult to put the phone back on the mount. But it's tricky as it requires 2 hands and some manipulation to install it. So I bought another mount that holds all 4 corners securely and can be operated with one hand to lift and adjust the mount. For this reason I give 4 stars.
