I've been a big fan of the wireless USB version of this mouse for a number of years. The scroll wheel wore out after a year or so, and the little USB transmitter sometimes breaks in the USB port (not good), so I tried the Bluetooth version. I've been using it for a week now and have found it to be almost identical to the wireless USB version in terms of weight, tracking and feel, but there's no USB transmitter to worry about. I'll update if anything weird comes up, but I love it! Update: On my Mac running OS X Sierra, the mouse sometimes becomes unrecognizable when waking from sleep mode. I have to use a different mouse, go to the Bluetooth menu, select that mouse again, and then it springs to life. Not good, but I suspect this is a weird software bug that will be fixed soon. The mouse is easy to use. Update 2: Small revelation: If you press both buttons at the same time, Mac OS recognizes the mouse immediately. No more picking up another mouse or turning your device off and on again. Update 3: ok, update 2 was wrong. I have many consistency issues with this mouse. I like the way it controls, moves around the screen, scroll wheel, etc., but the bluetooth connection is very buggy. I can use multiple other Bluetooth devices on the same computer with no problem, so I know this isn't a system-wide issue - it seems to only affect this mouse. I reset the PRAM in Mac OS X hoping that would help, but the more I research this issue the more I suspect that this particular mouse just isn't very well designed firmware/software wise. The USB version is essentially the same, but also suffers from glitches if the USB stick is plugged into the wrong USB port (it doesn't seem to like being plugged directly into the computer, but doesn't like being plugged into a USB port either). Hub live, but my last one got stuck in my keyboard's USB port, so I bought this mouse). If it wasn't for the feel and pursuit of this mouse, I would have dropped Microsoft mice forever. I'll update if I find something that works consistently, but for now I've downgraded the rating back to 3/5 stars. Here's some more information on what I'm experiencing in case anyone wants to compare entries and figure out a way to fix it: Mouse loses connection when screen turns off, even if the computer doesn't go to sleep. I'm not sure if it's related to disk spinning or not (which I don't think affects Bluetooth, but the screen doesn't turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity either, so I'm investigating all the options here). If I put the computer to sleep manually, I can wake it up with this mouse with no problem. I'm using Mac OS X 10.12.3 (Sierra), the latest OS build. Update 4: I still like the mouse, but it still tries to connect to my Mac after it's asleep. I've found that waking up the computer with the mouse instead of pressing a key on the keyboard to wake it up works well. Use your mouse to wake him up and everything will be fine! Update 5: Waking up a sleeping computer with the mouse still works, but now I find that half the time when I first restart or turn on the computer, the mouse isn't detected until I turn on the bluetooth Connection opens window that appears updates slightly and mouse connects immediately (no selection in bluetooth list). This mouse is so flawed that I really can't recommend it to anyone. Shame on Microsoft!
