Review on Mealthy CrispLid Pressure Cooker NEW by Brian Henley

Make fryers obsolete!

Right after I got the deep fryer and the instant pot, they launched products like Foodie that combine both products. Rats, I thought! I keep trying to simplify my devices and now I have two instead of one. And then I found Mealthy CrispLid for Instant Pot. I had to try. I have to admit that "fried chicken" from my deep fryer is fine, but it's not the same as the original. The same goes for french fries. I don't care what they advertise. It's just not the same. When I got CrispLid the first thing I did was fried chicken and then french fries. I'm not lying to you when I say that if you follow the directions in the recipe book that comes with CrispLid, you won't be able to tell what you've cooked from real rotisserie chicken. It turned out crispy and fragrant on the outside, but very juicy on the inside. Instead of drumsticks in the recipe, I made thighs. GREAT chicken. I'm still working on fries. I make acceptable fries and they're crispier than my last hot butter trip, but they're still not Nirvana fries. IM working on it. I have made other dishes with CrispLid such as Hasselback potatoes and sweet potato fries and other main course recipes and have never been disappointed. So I got rid of my deep fryer? no It's still great for cooking Rock Cornish Chicken and I can make the sides in an Instant Pot with a CrispLid lid. I swear when dinner prep time decreases, I'll go back in time! Good product. If you have an Instant Pot, this accessory is almost a must!
