Review on Motorola MBP36S 2 Infrared Lullabies Temperature by Kevin Hole

I love all the features like remote controlled PTZ cameras and .

Decent monitor. Love all the features like the remote PTZ cameras and the two way communication. I have a full signal from everywhere in my house and I've noticed the picture is choppy like when you're trying to watch TV and there's interference due to a bad connection. This is VERY annoying. I would have expected this if I didn't have full camera coverage, but I have. Also in our house there are no steel beams, no tons of metal. So I don't think it's coming from our house and related to the cameras. Of course, it doesn't matter if babies sleep because they don't move. But when I put them to bed and they need time to fall asleep, they move around a lot. My last video monitor wasn't nearly as beautiful and advanced as this one, and even it had a smoother picture. There are buttons on either side of the parent unit to control things like volume, which camera you're looking at and two-way conversation. and controls for rotating the camera. It would be very useful if these buttons were highlighted. In the middle of the night when my 8 week old son wakes up to eat (he sleeps in his crib in his room) I like to turn the volume down so he doesn't disturb my husband while I'm there. Since I can't see the buttons, I have to turn on the flashlight on my phone so I can navigate through the buttons I need. I expect this will improve over time as I get used to using this monitor, but it's still very annoying. Finally, and maybe I'm just not getting it, it seems that the battery life on this thing is really bad. Last night we only used one of the cameras (today I set up a different one). When I went downstairs this morning I had my parent monitor with me. It was on all night and I unplugged it for maybe 20 minutes. Battery life has been reduced by 1 bar. I think 20 minutes is a lot. When I first installed the second camera, I had the parent unit with me so I could put the camera where I wanted, on the wall. (Up to this point it's been plugged in all day) I unplugged it for about 45 minutes and it drained 2 bars of battery. It's been plugged in for 15 minutes and it's still charging! I followed the instructions and charged it for 16 hours before using it. It was actually closer to 24 hours, so it's not like it wasn't charging properly before we set it up.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
